Geriatric Rehabilitation
Physical Therapy for Seniors
Physical therapy is particularly important for adults over 65 as muscles and joints tend to lose strength and stability over time. This physiological change can negatively impact independence in performing daily tasks and movements.
Geriatric physical therapy is specifically tailored toward the unique issues and challenges of older adults to
build strength and endurance
prevent deconditioning
prevent muscle atrophy
improve balance
decrease risk of falls and related injuries
extend independence
add confidence
improve quality of life

Her knowledge is broad and deep in every aspect of the body. Holly guides you in many ways, your body’s movement, how you’re feeling, your overall health, etc. Holly and I worked together for more than 3 years.”
“Mathilde is knowledgeable and caring. She did a great job helping to strengthen my family member and teach him to walk again after his hospitalization. She was also flexible to accommodate the therapy appointments. Thank you again Mathilde for your help!”
