Falls can lead to injury, decreased confidence, isolation, and regression in mobility. Common causes include:

Fall risk can be prevented by physical therapy and balance training. At Balance Back to Life PT, we work with you to find the root cause of your decreased balance and, through focused, neurologic physical therapy, help you to get your life back.

“I just completed several months of physical therapy and I am a different person than when I started. Mathilde is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful, which enabled her to design a constantly changing PT plan for my changing needs. Although the work was rigorous, she was also gentle and compassionate so I looked forward to every visit at my home. I strongly recommend Balance Back to Life PT. “
“Holly has a lovely manner as she guides me through preliminary exercises leading to more difficult ones. Balance, strength, and correcting my bad habits are the goals, supported by an inexhaustible list of exercises.”
Neuro-focused physical therapy targets the root causes of fall risk to improve balance, movement and endurance.

Static and dynamic balance training
Walking and stair training
Standing balance tasks on various terrains
Cardiovascular exercises
At home environmental changes and adaptations
Through individualized PT programs created by our skilled neurological specialists, we can help you reduce your risk of a fall.
What is the frequency and length of physical therapy for fall risk?
What sets Balance Back to Life Physical Therapy apart from other PT clinics is that we see most clients for full 60-minute sessions, allowing more complex and individualized treatments to be implemented. Our treatments are home-based to include evaluation of the living environment to reduce risk. We generally recommend PT 1-2 times per week for 3-4 months which we adjust to fit your needs and goals. We also will provide you with a detailed home exercise program to give you the confidence and independence to complete exercises safely on your own.
We are here to help you on this journey as you balance back to life!
